I became the trainer I couldn't find
Hey, I'm Shahed. I used to work in law and human rights. Long hours, too much caffeine, and a gym habit that was basically just showing up and hoping for the best.
At 27, I was diagnosed with PCOS. At 30, endometriosis. If you know, you know. The pain, the dismissals, the conflicting advice. When I was first diagnosed, a doctor told me to lose 10kg in two months. That sent me down a path of really unhealthy habits before I found a nutritionist and a Personal Trainer who changed everything. They taught me how to cook, how to train properly, how to rest, and how to build strength. Not to shrink myself, but to actually feel good in a body that felt like it was working against me.
That was the turning point. For the first time, fitness felt like something I was doing for myself, not to myself. I got my Women's Coaching Specialist certification through Girls Gone Strong, studied how women's bodies actually respond to training and nutrition, and built the kind of coaching I wish had existed when I needed it.
Whether you train with me at my studio in Cardiff or online from wherever you are, you'll get a programme built around your body, your life, and what actually works for you.

Built around you
I build every programme around you, not the other way around.
PCOS & Endometriosis
Your energy shifts. Your pain fluctuates. Your body has its own rhythm. I know because mine does too. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 27 and endometriosis at 30. I've sat in the doctor's office being told to "just exercise more" while barely being able to get out of bed. I programme around your cycle, your flare days, and your energy levels so that every session meets you where you actually are. Mimi came to me with PCOS and progress that had completely stalled. We focused on correcting her form, choosing exercises she enjoyed, and building a lifestyle around managing her condition. Over a year after our last session, she's still using what we built together.
Neurodivergent-Friendly
Sessions are structured enough to feel safe and flexible enough to feel human. No sudden changes, no sensory overload, no pressure to mask. If something isn't working, we change it together. Pinar described it as the first training environment where she felt understood. That's not an accident. It's how I coach everyone.
Injury & Chronic Pain
You don't need to be "fixed" before you start training. You need someone who pays attention. I assess how you move from session one and build around what your body is telling me. Pinar came to me unable to hold a cup of tea because of her wrist imbalance. Thirteen months later she was doing push-ups. The difference wasn't a better exercise. It was a coach who noticed what others missed.
Complete Beginners
You don't need to know anything before you walk through the door. No experience, no gym clothes you feel confident in yet, no idea what a deadlift is. That's fine. Pinar was completely lost when she started. Raneem had never touched a weight. They both say it changed their lives. Your first session is a conversation, not a test.

“I went from being scared of weights to feeling stronger inside and out. Shah didn't just train me — she changed the way I see myself.

“I was completely lost at the gym with poor form and back pain. I couldn't even hold a cup of tea because of my wrist imbalance. Thirteen months later, I'm doing push-ups. Shah saw things no other trainer noticed.

“I was completely lost in the gym. Shah was the first trainer who made it feel like a discovery instead of punishment. No ego, no bro mentality — just patience and real coaching.

“My progress felt completely stagnant before Shahed. We worked on correcting my form, choosing exercises I enjoyed, and improving my lifestyle to manage my PCOS. She improved my confidence in the gym, my relationship with my body, and I can't thank her enough.

“Other PTs gave me cookie-cutter plans. Shah spotted imbalances I didn't know I had and built something that actually works. I'm hitting milestones I never thought possible.

Got Questions?
-
We talk. No assessment, no weigh-in, no hard sell. I want to understand what's going on with your body, what you've tried before, and what's getting in the way. You'll leave with a clear picture of how I'd approach your training, and then it's your call.
-
Some of my best results have come from women who started exactly where you are. You don't need to know what a deadlift is. You don't need to own gym clothes you feel confident in yet. You just need to show up. I'll handle the rest.
-
This is what I specialise in. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 27 and endometriosis at 30. I don't just understand the science, I've lived the flare days, the fatigue, the frustration of being told to "just exercise more." Every programme I write accounts for your cycle, your energy, and your symptoms. Not despite your condition, but around it.
-
Yes. I train several neurodivergent clients and I structure sessions to feel safe and predictable without being rigid. No sudden changes, no sensory overload, no pressure to perform. If something isn't working, we adapt on the spot. You won't have to mask here.
-
It's safer to train smart than not train at all. I assess movement patterns from session one and build your programme around what your body needs. I've worked with clients managing sciatica, wrist and arm imbalances, and chronic back pain. If something needs clinical input, I'll tell you honestly and refer you.
-
Every session is different because every session is built for where you are that day. But broadly: a targeted warm-up, structured strength work with coaching on form, and a cooldown. I explain what we're doing and why as we go. You won't be left staring at a whiteboard wondering what "3×12 RDL superset" means.
-
No. I don't do meal plans, calorie counting, or food rules. I help you build a healthier relationship with nutrition, one that works with your life, not against it. No guilt, no restriction, no "cheat days." Just sustainable habits that actually stick.
-
Life happens. I ask for 18 hours' notice so I can offer your slot to someone else. Beyond that, I'm flexible. We'll find a time that works.
-
Most PTs write a programme and count your reps. I look at how you move, what your body is telling me, and what's going on in your life that week. I've spotted hypermobility my clients didn't know they had, imbalances physios missed, and movement patterns that were causing pain nobody could explain. The difference is attention.
